Meet the Founder

Shawntae Stevenson, LCSW, MPA is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in California and Arizona. She earned her undergraduate degree from Seattle University and obtained both her Master of Social Work and Master of Public Administration from Arizona State University.

Shawntae founded Poised Clinical Consulting after witnessing the layered complexities that women and professionals navigate throughout their lives—including high-stress career transitions, relationship shifts, evolving roles, and navigating complex health systems. She recognized a profound need for a supportive, refined space that honors both strength and vulnerability during pivotal seasons of change, with a specialized focus on women's mental health.

Poised was developed to provide an intentional environment where women and professionals receive high-quality clinical services designed to help them reach their fullest capacity—personally, professionally, and in leadership.

Beyond her direct clinical work, Shawntae has a deep passion for teaching, mentorship, and workforce development. This commitment led her to expand her practice to offer structured clinical supervision and strategic business education for emerging and growing professionals looking to build sustainable, high-impact careers.
